Cameron Rennacker Receives University Outstanding Graduate & IMPACT Awards Upon Graduation From Arizona State University
We are thrilled to announce that Cameron Rennacker, our co-founder and head of creative, has graduated from Arizona State University with not one, but two prestigious awards under his belt: The University Outstanding Graduate Award and the Impact Award. These accolades are an impressive milestone in Cameron's journey, crowning his Master's journey in Graphic Information Technology from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering with resounding success. Cameron was also featured in the Fulton Schools Spring 2024 Full Circle Article announcing their outstanding graduates, Impact Award winners, and Grand Challenges Scholars.
The Outstanding Graduate Award, conferred each semester by the faculty at ASU, is a testament to Cameron's stellar academic record and his significant contributions to student organizations and the broader educational mission of the Fulton Schools. Achieving this as a master’s student, Cameron demonstrated exceptional academic rigor and engagement, surpassing the stringent criteria of a 3.40 minimum GPA and substantial participation in major-specific activities and community endeavors.
Equally noteworthy is the IMPACT Award, an honor bestowed upon graduates who have significantly contributed beyond the academic realm. Cameron excelled in areas of research, leadership, public service, and social entrepreneurship, positively affecting the ASU community, the larger Arizona region, and beyond. This award, highlighting achievements outside the classroom, underlines Cameron’s holistic approach to education and his dedication to making a real-world impact.
Cameron's journey at ASU was marked by relentless hard work, creativity, and a deep commitment to his studies. He extends his heartfelt thanks to his instructors, who have been instrumental in his growth and success. Special gratitude goes to Professor Christina Carrasquilla, the Program Director, and Professor Kassidy Breaux, under whom Cameron thrived in the GIT Creative Agency class. Professor Deborah Prewitt, his Cross-Media Production teacher and graduate committee chair, along with Professor Tessa Etzioni, his graduate committee co-chair. Cameron extends his thanks and mentions that each of his instructors has been pivotal in guiding his academic path.
Cameron's colleagues at Flatiron School deserve a special mention for their unwavering support. Joshua Robinson, Bani Phul-Anand, Charlotte Bohleber, Zach Saul, Tyler Entingh, Jennifer (Houli) Houlihan, Angel Wu, and Anwar Montasir have been more than coworkers; they've been a source of strength, advice, and encouragement.
Most importantly, Cameron extends his deepest gratitude to his husband, Josh Rennacker, for his constant, unwavering support. And to the rest of his family, whose support has been immeasurable, a heartfelt thank you.
As part of these honors from Arizona State University, Cameron played a pivotal role at the Graduate Commencement on Monday, May 6, 2024. He proudly carried the college gonfalon during the procession and represented his college as he received a diploma cover during the ceremony. These roles symbolized the respect, admiration, and recognition he has earned through his hard work and dedication to the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering.
Congratulations, Cameron Rennacker, for setting an exemplary standard of excellence and for inspiring us all with your remarkable achievements.
