In our collaborative journey with a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Phoenix, Arizona, Rennacker Studio embarked on a mission to redefine her brand identity and create a compelling online presence. The project was marked by a significant pivot from an initial exploration of the brand as "Viable Therapy" to a profound realization that this counselor’s well-established name held immense value. This pivot triggered multiple rounds of revision, ultimately leading us to a remarkable destination. Here's a glimpse into the transformative work we undertook with this counselor.
An Odyssey of Iteration
The journey of redefining the therapy brand’s identity and creating her digital presence was marked by a remarkable odyssey of iteration. Initially, the project explored the concept of "Viable Therapy," but it was through collaboration and careful consideration that we recognized the incredible value in the counselor’s own name. This realization led to a pivotal shift in the middle of the project that extended the timeline, but that ultimately positioned the counselor herself as the heart and soul of her practice.
Throughout the project, iteration became our guiding principle. We embraced multiple rounds of revision, recognizing that it was through refinement and fine-tuning that we would reach a remarkable outcome. This iterative process allowed us to craft a brand identity and website that authentically reflected the counselor's unique approach to therapy, creating a space of empowerment and healing for her clients. Navigating the Brand Identity Waters
In the initial stages of our collaboration with the counselor, we embarked on a journey to establish her brand’s identity. Initially we explored the option of branding her practice as a whole with the idea of the potential for future expansion, considering "Viable Therapy" as a potentially viable name. However, as the project evolved, we had a profound realization—a recognition of the immense value in the counselor's already well-established name. This pivotal moment led to a transformative pivot, shifting our focus from "Viable Therapy" to the counselor’s name. This shift represented a powerful acknowledgment of the counselor herself as the core of her brand, and it set the stage for a brand identity that resonated deeply with her existing client base and her unique approach to therapy.
In crafting the counselor’s brand identity, we harnessed a soothing, monochromatic aquatic blue color palette paired with an elegant serif font. These choices reflected the counselor’s approachability and symbolized the therapeutic qualities of water—calming, healing, and ever-flowing. The result was a brand identity that radiated empathy, offering potential clients a sense of comfort and connection right from the first encounter. This iterative process illuminated the path toward a brand identity that would truly empower the counselor to connect with her clients on a profound level.
Empowerment in Every Frame
To create a compelling visual narrative for the counselor, we produced an on-location styled photoshoot in her modern yet inviting office space in North Phoenix. Our goal was to capture the counselor’s genuine warmth and empowerment, presenting her exactly as she is in real life—a welcoming and empowering presence. The careful selection of her attire, a lovely blue blazer that harmoniously resonated with the artwork and decor in her office, served to tie her and her environment together seamlessly. We focused on a variety of poses, ensuring we had a diverse range of captivating visuals that could be leveraged effectively on the counselor’s website.
This photoshoot was not merely about creating images; it was about telling a visual story that encapsulated the counselor’s persona. This shoot aimed to present the counselor in her best light, reinforcing her role as a beacon of support and strength. These photos would become the welcoming face of the counselor’s therapy practice, inviting clients to embark on their journeys of healing and empowerment.
Designing a Digital Haven
In the digital realm, our mission was to craft a user-friendly website that would serve as a haven for those seeking the counselor’s guidance and support. The website needed to provide potential clients with all the essential information they needed to feel confident in reaching out for the counselor’s services. We understood the significance of clarity, accessibility, and empathy in web design. Our approach to the site’s design and development ensured that every element was thoughtfully curated to enhance the user’s experience.
The website is segmented to showcase the counselor’s expertise, focusing on key areas such as Emotional Divorce Support, Trauma and PTSD, Depression and Anxiety, and Grief and Bereavement. Each section provides valuable insights into the services the counselor offers, presenting a roadmap toward well-being. We also dedicated a page to unveil the counselor herself, allowing prospective clients to get to know the therapist behind the practice. Additionally, we provided a blog platform where the counselor could share her reflections and thoughts on topics related to her areas of expertise. The digital space we crafted is informative but also deeply empathetic and welcoming, in alignment with the counselor’s therapeutic philosophy.
